Efficiency Company, LLC facilitates energy efficiency activities by providing payments and rebates to companies and organizations that undertake energy efficiency projects. Our role is to discover all the sources of potential funding for a project, qualify the project for funding, and implement the technical and commercial requirements of those funding sources. These activities, when combined, can provide significant inflows to project owners that often sway project economics. Some of our partners even earn more than their incremental costs. Our customers are principally commercial, industrial and institutional organizations throughout the mid-Atlantic, Midwest and Northeast.
Our comprehensive approach identifies Utility, State & Local, Power Pool, Federal, and Private energy efficiency payment and rebate streams available to a particular entity, at the entity’s specific locations and for the specific type of project being undertaken. Typically, each end-use location and project will qualify for multiple programs operating at different layers. States, Localities and Utilities may pay for installation of specific energy efficiency equipment that meet certain technical specifications, Power Pools operating in the same geography may pay for the electric “capacity” attribute created by installation and use of the same energy efficiency equipment, the Federal government may offer certain tax benefits for installation of the same energy efficiency equipment, and private or government “green banks” may offer financing for the installation of the same energy efficiency equipment. Sometimes, some of these opportunities may be exclusive of each other.
